The assessment process includes 3 appointments and typically takes 2-3 weeks, depending on your availability.

Developmental History Consultation

Your journey begins with a one-on-one consultation with a seasoned clinician, where we take the time to understand your lifelong patterns of communication, social interactions, sensory preferences, and repetitive behaviours. This appointment usually lasts 60-90 minutes and can take place either virtually or in-person at one of our private, accessible locations. 

ADOS-2 Appointment

Using the most reliable diagnostic tools, including the ADOS-2, our Speech & Language Therapist conducts an in-person session to gain a comprehensive understanding of your strengths and challenges. This appointment typically lasts one hour, during which you will be asked to complete tasks and respond to questions focused on key traits of Autism.

Expert Multidisciplinary Review

The next step involves the assessing clinicians coming together to review and discuss their individual findings. They collaboratively analyse all reports and observations to ensure a thorough and accurate diagnosis.

In-Depth Diagnostic Report & Tailored Treatment Plan 

The final step is a one-on-one consultation with your clinician to discuss the results with clarity and care. This appointment typically lasts 30-60 minutes and can be held either in-person or online, depending on your preference. During this session, you will receive a comprehensive diagnostic report, which serves as a valuable resource for obtaining support and accommodations in schools, workplaces, and community services tailored to your unique needs. Your clinician will also present a personalised treatment plan, outlining recommended therapies, interventions, and resources to help you thrive.

A diagnosis is just the beginning. We provide comprehensive post-assessment support, guiding you towards the most suitable resources, strategies, and pathways to help you or your loved one flourish.

Led by consultant psychiatrists with extensive experience and specialised training, and in accordance with NHS and NICE guidelines, our ADHD assessment process ensures a thorough, expert approach to deliver an accurate diagnosis promptly. The assessment includes 3 appointments with a consultant psychiatrist and typically takes 1-2 weeks, depending on your availability.

Developmental History Consultation

Your journey begins with a 90-minute online appointment with a consultant psychiatrist. During this session, we gather a detailed history of your educational, professional, and personal life, focusing on how ADHD symptoms have manifested and affected your day-to-day experiences. You will be provided with a questionnaire to review with a family member or partner, allowing for additional insights from someone who knows you well. You may also be asked to collect relevant documents, such as school report cards, to bring to your second assessment appointment.

DIVA-5 Appointment

The second appointment is a 90-minute online session with the same consultant psychiatrist who will administer a structured clinical interview using the Diagnostic Interview for ADHD in Adults (DIVA-5). This is a widely recognised, evidence-based tool for ADHD assessment. This involves cognitive assessments and a detailed analysis of your behavioural patterns, providing an in-depth evaluation of ADHD-related strengths and challenges.

In-Depth Diagnostic Report & Tailored Treatment Plan

The final appointment is a 30–60 minute online session with your consultant psychiatrist to discuss the results. During this session, you will receive a detailed diagnostic report that explains your diagnosis and provides guidance on obtaining support and accommodations. You will also go over your personalised treatment plan, which may include therapy, medication, and strategies to manage ADHD symptoms. This is your chance to ask questions and plan your next steps.
